NC Report Card and Read to Achieve
We continue to strive to keep families updated on their child’s academic progress. Throughout the year we send home progress reports, have parent conferences and provide frequent communication between home and school. Each year we provide you with an update on our school’s achievements through the North Carolina School Report Card and through reporting the 3rd grade Read to Achieve results.
The North Carolina Read to Achieve Program. Per G.S. § 115C-83.1, “the goal of the State is to ensure that every student reads at or above grade level by the end of third grade and continues to progress in reading proficiency so that he or she can read, comprehend, integrate, and apply complex texts needed for secondary education and career success.” The Read to Achieve (RtA) data collection ensures the appropriate information is collected to report out accountability measures as defined by G.S. § 115C-83.10. Public School Units (PSUs) are required to post the RtA grade 3 EOY results website report on the public school unit (PSU) website prior to September 1. Please see the 2023-2024 report below.
